Lucy Davenport was born and raised in the UK. She trained at Oxford University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she was awarded the D’Oyly Carte Scholarship.

Lucy has since worked extensively on both sides of the Atlantic in theatre, film, and television. In the U.S., her theatre work includes playing Anne Adams in the online version of Jake Broder’s UnRavelled, for which she was nominated for Best Lead Performance (LADCCs). Other U.S. theatre credits include Sense of Decency (North Coast Rep), Our American Hamlet (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company), and Yes, Prime Minister (Geffen Playhouse).

UK theatre credits include Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, Mary in The Secret Garden, Madame de Tourvel in Dangerous Liaisons, and three seasons with the Oxford Shakespeare Company, where she played Hermia, Titania, Juliet, Ophelia, and Julia, among others.

Her film work includes Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Jay Roach’s Dinner for Schmucks (with Steve Carell), and Christine Jeffs’ Sylvia (with Gwyneth Paltrow). She has also contributed to numerous voice roles, including in Thor: Ragnarok, X-Men, and Doctor Strange.

Television credits include NCIS, Doctor Who, and portraying Mary Shelley in Frankenstein for the BBC.

Lucy is based in Los Angeles, where she lives with her family.
